Come have a drink to discuss your current wardrobe, as well as your menswear needs, and how best to achieve the latter, all while meeting your price requirements in a friendly stylish environment in Midtown Atlanta. Consultations don't require the purchase of any clothing. What you get are style points and tips.
Mens suiting is all about fit. It doesn't matter whether you own a navy blazer picked up from the local Goodwill, or a Kiton suit purchased from Neiman Marcus. My years of experience in fitting many body types will get the measurements right. I work with a master tailor and an excellent alterations tailor to get you your "it" look.
After our initial consultation, I can purchase options for you to choose from in range of styles and price points—all within your budget. At no obligation to buy, you select from garments made by the best in menswear—Canali, Pal Zileri, etc.—only the garments you wish, and allow my fitting and tailors to craft your silhouette to perfection.
As a designer, I have worked for C&R Press and done contractual work for various other publishers. I have over ten years of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign). I can help create your book's cover and layout the interior text.
WHAT I BRING TO YOUR BOOK, WEBSITE, BUSINESS PLAN, AND/OR TO YOUR WARDROBE
I am a professional writer, with titles in literary fiction, nonfiction, and poetry (see Books). Articles, essays, stories, and poems have been published in magazines—nationally and internationally—such as The Rumpus, Gigantic, and The Chattahoochee Review. I hold a PhD. in creative writing from Georgia State University, where I was one of the founding editors of the journal New South. I worked as an editor and book designer for C&R Press and The Good Book Developers.
I work with corporations and private individuals as an editor, writing coach and consultant. Everyone from the novice who always dreamed of writing her great novel, to celebrity chefs who wish to publish a cookbook, to multinational real estate development firms looking to market their latest offerings have found a use for my services.
In addition, as the son of a fine mens haberdasher classic suiting was built into my genes (yes, you can consider that a pun). As a teenager I worked at the now (sadly) closed Dick Bruhn, A Man's Store, once a staple at the corner of Lincoln Street and Ocean Avenue in beautiful Carmel by-the-sea, California. I've combined my areas of expertise, not only as I'm currently at work on a book about men and their suits, but as a menswear consultant and retailer.
